Come read all about how Bre from Average But Inspired used Elegance to bring out the stunning carved details on these nesting tables!
Hello, Country Chic Paint fans and friends! I'm Bre from Average But Inspired and I'm so happy to be here sharing another furniture makeover with you today!
These nesting tables were a complete labor of love. I purchased them on a local resale website for $10 -- such a bargain -- but they had some water stains and damaged veneer that had to be repaired prior to refinishing.
I started by stripping the tops to reveal the gorgeous pattern on the veneer. It was hidden beneath the floral artwork and barely noticeable before!
I then stained the tops with dark walnut stain, and sealed them with satin polyurethane. Once that dried, I got to work painting the legs with Country Chic Paint in Elegance. This beautiful color immediately brought out the ornate detailing in the table legs and bases!
One coat of Elegance was enough to give a slightly distressed look and really make the details pop! Once the paint dried, I sealed it with wax.
I think the finished product is just gorgeous! To me, it does justice to the vintage look the tables had when I got them, but also gives them an updated look that works wonderfully with today's decor trends!
I hope you enjoyed this makeover! If you did, I'd love for you to stop by my blog, Average But Inspired, or visit me on any of my social media channels, which are linked below.
