Lindsey from Everyday Originals turned this thrift store find into a charming, modern masterpiece in Full Bloom!
Hey guys, it’s Lindsey popping in from Everyday Originals! It’s been a while, happy summer!
I stumbled upon this dresser at our local thrift store for $15. I was completely drawn to the hardware on it. I knew, with the right color, this drab piece would come back to life.
I used the color Full Bloom to give this thing a colorful makeover. I sanded and primed the piece before adding the color.
Once I started painting I realized I loved the look but I felt like it was going to be too much in all one color.
I had a can of leftover white paint so I gave the drawers a quick coat of white before refreshing the hardware with a fresh spray of gold paint.
I never thought I would love this piece as much as I did. There was something about it that was just so charming. It's not a color I would typically choose, but I decided to go out on a limb and try it out and I'm glad I did. Just shows how you should leave your comfort zone every now and again!
