Come read all about the latest project by Heidi from Lily Field Furniture in Pistachio Delight! It looks stunning on all those pretty details.
Hi guys, It's Heidi from Lily Field Furniture here today to show you a super easy side table makeover!
This little table has been sitting in my basement since it was passed down to me from my grandfather. I loved the detailing on it and thought it would be a perfect candidate for a makeover.
I've been excited to try out Country Chic Paint's new color Pistachio Delight. It's one of the limited edition Spring/Summer colors and it's the perfect minty green!
This makeover couldn't have been any easier. I did no prep other than carrying it up from the basement! I used one coat on the majority of the table with a few spots taking two coats. After it dried I distressed heavily with a fine sanding sponge.
Here's a little PSA for you! Don't be lazy like me and paint right from the can. Not only can you contaminate the paint with dust but it's also really easy to tip over the can. Oops! Thankfully I was able to save most of this but it would have been way easier had I prepped in the first place!
After distressing, I decided to try out Country Chic's Pearl wax. I immediately fell in love with this product! It's simply amazing and leaves the most beautiful sheen on the paint surface. This is one of my favorite products so far! It added just the perfect amount of glamour to my side table!
The finished product:
Hello! My name is Heidi and I am the face behind Lily Field Furniture. I spend my days being a wife and mom and my late nights in the garage painting away! I absolutely love the job that I have and have so much fun with the process of thrifting and then refinishing furniture in a creative way. It's so rewarding to see the amazing transformation that just a little paint can make!
