Bre from Average But Inspired is back on our blog today to share this sweet little bench in Vintage Cupcake and Cobblestone that she refinished for her daughter's bedroom!
Hello, Country Chic Paint fans! I'm Bre from Average But Inspired, and I'm excited to be here sharing another project with you today! This is a special piece that I refinished for my five-year-old daughter. She really needed a place to sit in her bedroom, and this hand-me-down bench from my mother was the perfect solution - once it got a makeover, of course!
I started by painting the entire bench with one coat of Cobblestone. Next, I applied two brushy layers of Vintage Cupcake. Then I used a stencil to paint butterflies on the bottom shelf and the top left corner in Cobblestone.
The butterflies add the perfect amount of whimsy to go with her bedroom.
I sealed the entire piece with wax, and applied a layer of Country Chic's Pearl Wax to the top of the bench. The subtle shimmer is totally gorgeous.
My daughter is thrilled to have this special piece of furniture in her room.
It really is the perfect addition to her space with its pretty color and sweet charm!
