Cait from Little City Farmhouse is sharing her very first Country Chic Paint piece with us today. She refinished this beautiful dresser with Pebble Beach!
I’m Cait from Little City Farmhouse and I am really excited to share this dresser with you that I refinished using Country Chic Paint!
I’ve had this dresser in my possession for quite some time. Its roamed around my house, being stored in all sorts of corners of rooms, and was the perfect project for a little Country Chic love. I have a thing for dressers - I can’t pass them up! They are my favourite pieces to refinish. I refinished this dresser for a family member, and her only request was that the dresser have a little sparkle and glam - done! I knew exactly what products from Country Chic that I wanted to use.
I love Country Chic paint. Most often there is no prep work required before you start painting. So I cleaned the dresser and gave it two coats of Pebble Beach. I like to start with a nice light application for the first coat.
Now comes my favourite part! I waxed the dresser with Country Chic’s Pearl Wax. I applied the Pearl Wax first with a wax brush and then buffed it well, adding more wax where it needed it, with a lint free cloth.
The Pearl Wax adds the perfect amount of iridescent shimmer! When it catches the light it is stunning!
I added mercury glass knobs to give the dresser the perfect finishing touch. I adore this dresser. Even if you are really into the farmhouse, worn and vintage style, you can still add a touch of glam to your furniture using the Pearl Wax!
Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
