Heidi from Lily Field Furniture updated her daughter's dresser to match her new room using Refreshed! We love this sweet, light, minty colour.
Hi guys! It's Heidi from Lily Field Furniture. I'm here to show you a fun makeover I did to my daughter's French Provencal style dresser using Country Chic Paint in Refreshed.
I first purchased the dresser 7 years ago and was totally new to furniture painting. I spray painted it white and spray painted the hardware black. Done and done! Except over the years it yellowed and started to chip from me not prepping and priming it properly.
Seven years later we are in a new state, a new home and my daughter wanted a mint dresser. She picked the color Refreshed and it's such a fun reflection of her style!
As you probably noticed, I also decided to spruce up the hardware. After taking it all off I simply put them into a boiling pot of water with baking soda.
After letting them boil for about 10 minutes the old paint was practically peeling off. After making sure to remove all of the old paint I used Rubb N Buff to paint the hardware gold. Love that stuff as it is SO easy and makes a dramatic impact!
Hello! My name is Heidi and I am the face behind Lily Field Furniture. I spend my days being a wife and mom and my late nights in the garage painting away! I absolutely love the job that I have and have so much fun with the process of thrifting and then refinishing furniture in a creative way. It's so rewarding to see the amazing transformation that just a little paint can make!
