Another gorgeous curbside find turned shabby chic by the talented Lindsay from My Creative Days! She created this look with Lazy Linen and Cobble Stone.
Hello, Country Chic Paint readers! It is Lindsay from My Creative Days! It seems like it has been awhile since I have posted a project on here so it is great to be sharing with you today.
You may or may not know that I live in Iowa. That means when the weather starts getting cold, the yard sales STOP! UGH!
I get bummed when there aren't yard sales to go to because I love projects and hunting for great pieces. When yard sales aren't in season, where else do you score great pieces? The curb!!! I was able to score this little number on the side of the curb...for free!
Now, I know some of you are thinking, "Why in the world did you pick that up?" Let me tell you why.
It is all wood (no laminate). It was HEAVY. The drawers all worked well. It was the perfect size. IT WAS FREE! Those are the main reasons. ;-)
I got it home and started cleaning it right away. It cleaned up so well. I painted the outer shell of this piece with Lazy Linen.
I painted the drawer fronts with Cobble Stone. This color combination works so well together. I added a hand painted branch to each drawer front with white paint and replaced the knobs.
This curbside dresser now lives in my daughter's room. It is the perfect size and has given her a lot more storage for her clothes which she desperately needed. You would never guess what this looked like before its makeover. If you don't tell, I won't either. :-)
