This bright, bold, and beautiful piano was created by Carissa from Carissa Miss in Devotion!
Carissa again! This is a long post coming, I started working on painting this piano during the late spring. We ran into a few bumps along the way, but I'm glad to report that it is red and gorgeous and totally worth the wait!
Some of the fabulous qualities of chalk-based paint are its relatively low prep work, thick coverage, and durability.
Instead of painting by hand, we taped everything off and I used my Finish Max Pro sprayer. Each coat went smoothly and the coverage was perfect.
As you can see, no bench. We are waiting on the perfect bench to add to this piano we rescued from a storage shed. The wood was not in great condition so we had no problem covering it with a high-quality paint.
Since the piano is heavily used by young people, we decided a couple coats of Tough Coat was necessary as well. This goes on with the Finish Max Pro as well!
Such a fun pop of color. Are you brave enough to paint a piano?

Like my DIY farmhouse table, this Ikea RAST hack, or these vertical stripe curtains. I love working with e-design clients to transform a space from blah to wow! Here's a gallery of some of the inspiration boards I've created.
