Want to get into the season with some festive fall decor? Read on to find out how DeDe from Designed Decor created these fun, decorative blocks and plaques with Vanilla Frosting and antiquing wax!
I love that you can use Country Chic Paints for all your home decor and craft needs.
I quickly made these Rustic Fall Wood plaques using some leftover wood pieces I had in my garage.
I stained all the pieces using a dark walnut stain.
The "Give Thanks to Family" Plaque I used the Vanilla Frosting over the top of the stain and stressed to give the worn look and then sealed with antique wax.
The "Fall Blocks" I made my own paper stencils and applied an embossing medium to get the raised letters. I also used the Vanilla Frosting and antique wax to complete the distressed look. Added a flower embellishment and she was ready for display.
The "Free Leaves" plaque was made by with making my own paper leaves stencils, embossing crème, and layered with limited edition color in "coral" and Vanilla Frosting, followed with antiquing wax.
It is a simple way to add fall decor to your home without breaking the bank for seasonal decor. I had all the supplies on hand so the cost was "0" and just some time.
