Sarah from Life on Virginia Street created this beautiful fall themed planter out of a simple craft crate and a bit of our limited edition colour, Sangria!
I have been wanting to re-create a version of the pricey fall flower planters I had been seeing around town lately at our local nurseries. With about 45 minutes of time and some Country Chic Paint in Sangria, I was able to do so!
I found this unfinished crate at the craft store last week and I immediately knew it would be perfect to house a fall planter.
I had been dying to try some of the Limited Edition colors from Country Chic Paint, and I knew that the Sangria would be the perfect compliment to the purples and sage tones of the plants I wanted to use.
I lightly sanded the entire crate and then two coats later, the crate was easily transformed into the perfect fall planter! Because I was going for a more rustic vibe, I didn't add any wax to the piece so the entire transformation was done extremely quickly.
The end result is gorgeous!
