A Table In Pieces Gets Rescued {guest post}

Lindsay from My Creative Days took a piece that was falling apart and restored its vintage glamour with just one coat of Lazy Linen!

My mother-in-law brought this table up to us in pieces. I wish I would have taken a picture of the table in pieces, but Hubby was excited to start working on it and had it back together and fixed in no time. This is what the table looked like put together. Do you see the detail around the edges of this little table? Amazing! They just don't make furniture like this anymore.

I knew right away that a coat of "Lazy Linen" would brighten this table up and bring it back to life.

After I put a coat of the paint on, the detail was kind of lost. I knew how to bring it back.

Sandpaper of course! I sanded the edges a little bit and now the detail looks more amazing than ever! You can really see the shape of the detail and the curves around the edges of the table.

Once I got all the sanding done how I liked it, I applied Natural Wax all over the table. I love the way the wax "deepened" the effect of what the sandpaper did.

Again, I can't say enough about "Lazy Linen". I think it is such a beautiful color. It is subtle, soft and just amazing!

This was a simple little paint job. It goes to show how much a little paint and elbow grease can do to a piece. This table was in pieces for a long time and now it is a usable, beautiful table again! I love that!

I’m going to start calling you the queen of makeovers!! Your so good at them, I just LOVE how this table turned out. That’s the best thing about crafting is your can turn a table that’s all broken and make it into something beautiful and useable.
