This fun little dresser was created by Lindsay from My Creative Days with Hurricane, Elegance, and peek-a-boo polka dots in Cheesecake!
I picked up this little dresser from a friend's garage sale. It is the perfect size for our guest bedroom and I have been looking for a dresser that I could do "peek-a-boo" drawers with. Finally, it is going to happen!
The first thing I did was paint the dresser "Hurricane" from Country Chic Paint.
When that paint dried, I went over it with some "Cheesecake" from Country Chic Paint.
When the "Cheesecake" paint dried, I painted the dresser in "Elegance".
When it was all dry, I used a damp cloth and some fine-grit sandpaper to take off some of the "Elegance" layer so the other two colors could show through.
Next, I painted the sides of each drawer with "Hurricane".
I used a foam pouncer and "Cheesecake" to make polka-dots on the sides of the drawers.
For the knobs, I used these beauties from Charleston Knob Company.
Peek-a-boo, I see you! I love the polka-dot surprise you get when you open the drawers! It adds fun and whimsy to an otherwise "plain" dresser.
This dresser has been the perfect addition to our guest bedroom. I love all the storage and "fun" it adds to the room.
