Fit for a Princess {guest post}

Lindsay from My Creative Days gave this breakfast tray a coat of Vintage cupcake to match her little princess's bedroom.

Hello! It is Lindsay from My Creative Days here to show you how the "Vintage Cupcake" color from Country Chic Paint made breakfast in bed fit for a princess at our house. Our daughter has always loved princess things and princess "ways". For some time now, she has been asking to have breakfast in bed like a princess would. To make it official, we would need a bed tray that she could sit on her bed.

Guess what? I found a bed tray at a barn sale for $1! This would be the piece that would make breakfast in bed fit for our princess.

The blue color was nice, but "Vintage Cupcake" was the color we needed for our tray. The tray needed two coats of the beautiful pink color.

I printed a crown template from the computer.

Then, I used a pencil to trace the crown on the center of the tray.

Last, I used a dark brown paint pen to outline the crown (my daughter's room has pinks, browns and whites in it).

I finished this project while my daughter was at school, so I set it up her after-school snack on her bed.

When she got home and saw it on her bed, she was so excited. Beyond excited. I even got the "Best Mom" award! Even better.... she said that I could use it as a "queen" tray and she would make me breakfast in bed. Now, we're talking! :-)
