I picked up this old, wood rocking chair last year at a yard sale. It is small and quaint which is why I liked it so much, but I thought it would be so much better in a fun color.
After looking though the colors from Country Chic Paint, I decided to go with "Elegance". When I opened the can and saw the color, I did a happy dance AND (at that same moment) the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams came on the radio. I kid you not!
After I put one coat of paint on the chair, something fabulous happened. Some of the dark wood could be seen through the "Elegance" color. I loved the color combination. I knew it needed one more coat of paint but, now that I saw how the dark wood looked with the paint, I knew I would be distressing the chair with sandpaper after the paint dried.
Look how beautiful the dark color is coming through the "Elegance" color. A match made in heaven. ;-)
If you are searching for that perfect country/robin's egg blue color, this is it!
A second coat of paint and a little distressing made this chair so, so pretty and perfect for spring.
What a peaceful spot to sit, drink some tea and read a magazine. I see more "Elegance" in my home in the near, "spring" future.
